Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the Hudson Valley Biogas website and materials. They also set clear expectations for pilots, partnerships, and how information here should be interpreted.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2) What HVB is

Hudson Valley Biogas (“HVB”) is a systems-thinking, circular economy initiative focused on enabling pilots and partnerships related to organics management, anaerobic digestion, biochar, and related circular infrastructure in the Hudson Valley region.

3) What HVB is not

HVB materials are provided for informational and collaboration purposes and are not engineering, legal, financial, or permitting advice. Pilot decisions must be validated with qualified professionals and relevant authorities.

4) Website content and accuracy

We aim for clarity and good-faith accuracy, but the site includes evolving ideas, references, and historical artifacts (e.g., past grant application packages). We make no warranties that content is complete, current, or error-free.

5) Use of downloads and resources

Unless otherwise stated, HVB documents and materials are intended for community education, project exploration, and pilot packaging. You may download and share these materials for non-commercial purposes with attribution.

6) Intellectual property

The HVB name, logos, design system, and original content are owned by HVB or its contributors, unless otherwise credited. Third-party PDFs and publications remain the property of their respective owners.

7) Collaboration and pilot proposals

Submitting a pilot proposal or inquiry does not create a contractual relationship, partnership, agency relationship, or obligation. Any formal engagement will require explicit written agreement.

8) Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party sites or services (for example, scheduling tools, external policy sources, or research archives). We are not responsible for their content, availability, or policies.

9) Prohibited uses

  • Do not misuse the site or attempt to disrupt its operation.
  • Do not scrape or harvest data in ways that violate privacy or security expectations.
  • Do not misrepresent HVB as endorsing a project, vendor, or political position without explicit permission.
